Pinckney Fishburn Rogers, age 51, of Alma passed away Thursday, June 4th suddenly at his residence. He was a native of Columbia, South Carolina but had lived in Alma for several years. Pickney was preceded in death by parents, Robert E. Rogers and Charlotte Nadine Fishburn Rogers. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Wendy Evans Rogers of Alma, step-mother, Lorraine Rogers of Columbia, South Carolina, a son, Deen Rogers, step-son, Evan Carter, one sister, Ellison Rogers of Lexington, SC., one brother-in-law, Mark Price of Lexington, SC. and 3 nephews and a niece.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 7th at 2:00 PM from the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Lang Ingram officiating and a eulogy given by Brad Tenney. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 1:00 PM until funeral time. Interment will follow in Woodridge Memorial Park in Lexington, South Carolina on Tuesday, June 9th.
Active pallbearers will be; Rodney Wilson, Mickey Burnham, Eddie Crapps, Brad Tenney, Johnny Waters and Jerry Taylor. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
