Quitman Lee, age 79, of Nicholls passed away Thursday, October 2nd in Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was a native of Ware County and son of the late Earley Kermit Lee and Tharity Kirkland Lee and preceded in death by James Kermit Lee and a sister, Norma Ann Bennett. Quitman was employed with D.L. Lee & Sons for 34 years and a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Clara Knowles Lee of Bickley, son, Jimmy Landon Lee and a dear friend Karen Davis of Valdosta, GA., brother, Billy Lee (LeVan) of Bickley, GA., sister, Vivian Smith (Maxell) of Douglas and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 5th at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Robbie Yawn, Rev. Randy Cox and Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Mackie Smith, Geoffrey Lee, Austin Johnson, Randall Bennett, Scott Manning & Allen Stottlemire. All others will be considered honorary escorts.
