Reba Dyal Deen, age 88, of Alma passed away Thursday, November 12th at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Homerville, GA but had lived in Bacon County most of her life, was daughter of the late Jonah M. Dyal and Rosie Bagley Dyal and preceded in death by her husbands Terrell Medders, Sr. and Edsel M. Deen, a daughter Teresa Medders Bryant, a sister Winona Hopson. Reba attended the Alma First Baptist Church and she worked at FNB South for many years.
Survivors include her son Terry Medders, Jr. of Alma, a sister Faye Tripp of Glenville, GA, four grandchildren Cindy Medders, Gee Carter (Jammie), Allison Dyal (George) and Blake Medders (Katie), seven great-grandchildren Maegan & Kaylee Carroll, Logan & Paige Carter, Jaden & Aden Dyal and Ellie Medders, special family friends Lois Batten and Terry and Nina Bryant.
Funeral services will be held Sunday November 15th, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Unity Baptist Church with Rev. R B Gaskins and Rev. E C Crews officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday evening between 6 and 9 P M. The body will be carried to the church Sunday at 1:00 P M to lie in state.
Active pallbearers will be; David Lassiter, Nathan Mullis, Denny Carroll Taylor, Michael Lynn, Charles Waters, Joe Boatright, Ken Vaughn and Chris MaCarages. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
