Rebecca M. Hart, age 73, of Alma passed away Thursday July 16th after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County and the daughter of the late Bart and Carrie Lee Curl Medders. She was also preceded in death by 6 brothers Walter, Kenneth, Billy Joe, Donald, Wayne, and Charlie Medders, and 4 sisters Lecele Mercer, Cloette Johnson, Louise Crosby, and Lucille Hermdon.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years Bobby Hart, 2 sons Bobby Wayne Hart (Christy) and Wendell Hart (Lizann) of Alma, 2 daughters Ramona Mullis (Rodney) and Renita Sweat (Mike) of Alma, also 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday July 18th at 11 AM, at Pine Level Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Brown and Rev. Donnie Mullis officiating. Internment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday night from 6-9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be grandsons Jason and Dan Taylor, Toby and Tyler Sweat, and Bob, Cliff, and Alex Hart. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escort.
