Obituary

Regina Ellis Hall, age 99, passed away surrounded by family on April 11, 2026, after an extended illness. She was born in Carbur, FL May 16,1926, to the late George W. Ellis and Tottie White Ellis. She grew up in Alma, GA, married and moved to Savannah, before returning to Alma after retirement in the early 1980’s. She maintained a residence in Alma until shortly before her death. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, E.D. Hall; her brother, Kearns Ellis; and her sisters, Minnie Olga Quinn and Margaret Ellis Osburn.

She retired from Union Camp Corporation after many years of service. She was a member of Morningside Baptist Church in Savannah GA and a member of the First Baptist Church of Alma.

She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Ferris of Pooler, GA; two grandchildren, David “Kris” Ferris (Kathy) and Patrick Ferris (Kris); five great-grandchildren, Regina Ferris, Shannon Ferris, Ty Ferris, Deuce Ferris, and Chloe Ferris.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 2 PM in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Brown officiating and eulogies given by Nancy Hall Sheldon and Judy Ganem. Interment will follow at Holton Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers include Deuce Ferris, Hunter Goodwin, Buddy Hall, Jason Holland, Matthew Hammond, and Markie Hall. Honorary pallbearers include Franklin and Phyllis McDonald, Seekers Sunday School Class, Frank and Wilma Boatright, Ronnie Hall, Larry Holland, Wayne Holland, Laura Cangiolosi, and Lewis Hall.
