Renita Hart Sweat, age 58, passed away suddenly May 16, 2024 at the Bacon County Hospital. She was preceded in death by her mother Rebecca Medders Hart.

Renita was a member of the Bacon County Class of 1983 and was employed with Smile Doctors.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Mike Sweat; three children, Toby Sweat (Shaina), Tyler Sweat and Patrick Sweat; three grandchildren, Layla Denson, Shelby and Isaac Edwards; her father, Bobby Lee Hart, mother-in-law, Minnie Jo Sweat, brothers, Wayne Hart (Christy) and Wendell Hart (Liz Ann); sister, Romona Mullis (Rodney) and brother-in-law, Al Sweat.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday from 1:00 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Rigby, Henry Sweat, Alex Hart, Cliff Hart, Tait Taylor and Bob Hart. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
