Rex Allen Swain I, passed away May 22, 2025, after a short illness. He was born May 21, 1956 to the late Estelle Swain and Lucille Conwell Swain Cothern. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Tracy Sr, Virgil, Robert, and Leonard Swain and his stepfather, Edward H. Cothern.

Survivors include one son, Rex Allen Swain II; one daughter, Tina Dianne Williford (Jeffery); two grandchildren, Ethan and Logan Williford; two brothers, J.W. Swain (Teresa) and Randy Cothern; two sisters, Mary Frances Altman and Margret Fielding.

He was retired after 30 years from the Georgia Department of Corrections where he worked as an engineer that covered the state of Georgia.

A graveside will be held at Pine Lawn Cemetery, 1872 HWY 1 N, Alma, GA, Monday, May 26, 2025, at 11 AM with Rev. David Deen officiating.
