Richard Tillman "Tilly" Williams, age 72, formerly of Alma passed away March 2, 2022 at Hospice of the Golden Isles after a brief illness. Born in Bacon County on October 28, 1949 to Talmadge Dewitt Williams and Alma Lennie Clements Williams. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Lanie Kaye Jordan Williams; brothers, Odis Williams, Talmadge Grover Williams and James L. Williams.

Survivors include two children, Dr. Steven Williams (Katie) of St. Simons Island and Pamela Smart (Adam); five grandchildren, Morgan Troy Smart, Shelby Amelia Smart, Kayelyn Grace Smart, Elizabeth Kaye Williams and Reid Tillman Williams;brothers, Jerry Williams and Ricky Williams; sisters, Janell Overstreet (Junior) and Glorias Ann Johnson; sister-in-law, Pat Taylor and special friend, Linda Shelby.

Visitation for Mr. Williams will be held Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Honey Creek Episcopal Camp and Conference Center 299 Georgia Episcopal Center Rd Waverly, Georgia with Rev. Alan Akridge officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at New Vision Church Cemetery with Bro. Travis Peavy officiating.
