Obituary

Riley B. Rigby, age 74, of Nicholls passed on September 7, 2021 after an extended illness. Born in Bacon County on October 27, 1946 to Walter B. Rigby and Mary Margie Simmons Rigby. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Rigby, brother, Gerald Rigby and sisters, Geraldine Taylor and Mary Ann Rigby. Survivors include

five brothers, Carl Rigby (Florence) of Nicholls, Larry Rigby (Wanda), Roger Rigby (Pat) of Alma, Donnie Rigby (Lisa) of Nicholls and Tony Rigby (Scheryl) of Lumber City and five sisters, Frances Wade of Alma, Linda Medders (Gary), Debra Lee (Gordon), Judy Anderson (Michael) and Angie Rigby (Roger Davis) of Nicholls.

Graveside services for Mr. Rigby will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 3:00 PM at the Douglas Family cemetery with Rev. Allen Swain officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home.

Active pallbearers will be; James Rigby, Ken Rigby, Christopher Rigby and Tyler Graham.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
