Robert Michael Knight, age 44, of Alma died Tuesday morning September 8th, 2015 at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Bacon County, son of the late Waylon Denney Knight and was also preceded in death by grandparents Homer and Lola Worth, A S (Bo) Knight and Mary Jo Ligon. Robert was an instructor at Coastal Pines Technical College in Baxley.

Survivors include a son, Jacob Knight of Alma his mother and step father Judy Worth Lee and Gilbert Lee of Fernandina Beach, FL, sister Shawndra Whitacre of Alma, "special brothers" Bruce Scott and Robin Vaughn of Alma, aunts and uncles Joey Knight (Robin) of Douglas, Leon Worth (Linda) of Statenville, GA, Jimmy Worth (Stacey) of Live Oak, FL, Janice Davis (Mike) of Americus, GA Joyce Deen (Neal) of Brunswick, step-sisters, Lexanne Miller of Sebastian, FL, Becky Aurand of Rockledge, FL, step-brother Gil Lee, Jr. of Titusville, FL, special friends Amy Jones of Baxley, Chris & Julie Simmons of Hazlehurst, Chad Swanson of Jesup, Stacy Davis of Savannah, Joe & Marie Barefoot of Alma, Dean Strickland of Alma and all co-workers at Coastal Pines Technical College.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Carver, Rev Travis Peavey and Rev. T F Yawn officiating. Interment will follow in Wolf Pit Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 6 and 8 P M. In Lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Wolf Pit Cemetery Trust, 532 Wolfpit Church Road Nicholls,Ga. 31554.

Active pallbearers will be Bruce Scott, Robin Vaughn, Chad Swanson, Chris Simmons, Robert Sass, Dean Strickland, Stacy Davis, Chris Davis, Justin Davis and Jerry Lee Meeks. Honorary will be co-workers of Coastal Pines Technical College.
