Rodney Keith Wood, age 48, of Jesup passed away unexpectedly at his residence Friday, February 22nd. He was a native of Bacon County but had live in Jesup the past 12 years. He was son of the late Dewey Wood and Maudie Lee Jeffcoat Wood Richardson and also preceded in death by a brother D. L. Wood. He was a 1983 graduate of Bacon County High School and a member of New Vision of New Life Church in Jesup.

Survivors include five brothers, Billy Creamer of Hazlehurst, Grady Wood of Raleigh, NC., David Wood of Clayton, NC., Ricky Wood of Jesup and John Wood of Waycross, five sisters, Ginger Kuehner, Carolyn Towns, Catherine Moorefield and Michelle Herndon all of Waycross and Patricia Carter of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 24th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Herndon, Rev. Claude Bowen and eulogy by Corey Wood. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday evening between 6 and 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Kevin, Michael and Jared Wood, Sam Johnson, Chris Taylor, Brandon Hayes and James Harden. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
