Ronald Ashley Purvis, age 74, of Blackshear passed away May 17, 2024 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born November 13, 1949 in Ware County to the late Preston Purvis and Molly Leveda Moody Purvis.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Patricia Lynn Hickox Purvis; three sons, Ricky Purvis (Lisa), Austin Purvis and Jason Purvis of Blackshear; three grandchildren, Dalton, Ellis and Hattie Purvis; two brothers, Donald Purvis (Cathy) of Macon and J. C. Purvis of Alma and three sisters, Sara Miles (Winston) and Judy Boatright (Larry) of Alma and Gail Wheeler (Randy) of Macon.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 11:00 from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Miles officiating.  The family will be receiving at the funeral home Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until service time.

Cremation will follow the funeral service.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
