Ronnie Smith, age 74, of Alma passed away January 1, 2025 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Dewey Smith and Leola Wade Smith.

Ronnie worked several public jobs but was most happy helping his cousin Foster on his farm until he became ill and was no longer able to. He loved to watch television his favorites being westerns and game shows, but he was happiest on his lawn mower keeping his yard immaculate.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and sister-in-law, Windell Smith (Charlotte) and Cecil Smith. Survivors include three sisters, Emily Chancey (Roger) of Nahunta, Marilyn Tomlinson and Wanda Wheeler (Johnny) of Alma and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Corinth Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Miles and Pastor Pet Hayes officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Corinth Freewill  Baptist Church 181 Corinth Church Rd. Alma, Georgia 31510.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
