Roy Roger Streat, age 78, of Nicholls passed away March 6, 2023 at his residence in Nicholls.  He was born October 30, 1944 in Coffee County to Stanford Streat and Minnie Lee Taylor Streat. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, David Allen Streat and Roy Streat, Jr, two great granddaughters, Robin Taylor and Madilynn Creange and sister, Louise Streat Leach.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jeanette Douglas Streat; son, Roy James Streat; six daughters, Barbara Carter (Gandy Chavez), JoAnn Streat and Minnie Streat all of Nicholls, Lennie Music (Jim) and Jennifer Streat (Noah Mobley) of Baxley and Sarah Courson (Lee) of Westgreen; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Kathy Palmer officiating. Interment will follow in Meeks Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Noah Mobley, Aaron Giles, Kenneth Betts, Lee Cody Courson, Johnny Smith and Chris Palmer. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
