Obituary
Royce Ivey Taylor, age 71, of Alma passed away Tuesday, August 10th at the Hospice House in Waycross after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County, son of the late Felton "Shag" Taylor and Ocala Taylor and preceded in death by a sister Ann Pope. He served in the US Army.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Smith and Stephanie Taylor both of Alma, two brothers Tracy Taylor and Grady Taylor (Cathryn) of Yulee, FL., one sister Marie Fiveash of Waycross; also 4 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 12th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Kapp officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Johnny Smith, Fabian Hernandez, Jessie Smith, Andy Taylor, Edward Smith and Randy Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Hospice House Staff.
Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
