Ruben Earl Lewis, age 74, of Alma passed away suddenly November 18, 2022 at the Bacon County Hospital. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Julian Marcus Lewis and Minnie Anderson Lewis.

Mr. Lewis was retired from Hazlehurst Mills and a member of The Harvest Church of Nicholls.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Frances Addison Lewis of Alma; two children, Steven Lewis and wife Kristen of Alma and Sharon Rentz and husband Donnie of Baxley; two brothers, Tony Lewis and wife Molly, Julian Marcus Lewis, Jr. and wife Bonnie; sister, Joyce Rigdon and husband Tommy of Alma; 6 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at The Harvest Church in Nicholls the Pastor Javaris Wright, Pastor Charles Carter and Pastor Tommy Rigdon officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Darryl Anderson, Tyler Williams, Randall Lankford, Chris Giddens, Lester King and Phillip Lankford. Members of The Harvest Church will serve as honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
