Ruby Mae Wasdin Philbrook, age 91, of Mershon passed away on October 29, 2020 at Hospice Satilla in Waycross after a short illness. She was born on March 31, 1929 to Caney Sylvester Carnes and Lavonia Asalee Lovell Carnes. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Simon Wasdin and Robert "Bob" Philbrook, son, Mark Wasdin, daughters, Christine Mills and Margaret Bragg, sister, Rachel Hyers, brothers, Bard Carnes, Tom Carnes, Mart Carnes, Mack Carnes, Sam Carnes, David Carnes Dalton "Doc" Carnes.

Mrs. Ruby was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God in Valdosta, Georgia.

Survivors include three children, Bruce Wasdin (Cathy) of Houston, TX., Michael Wasdin of Mershon and Sarah Sloan (Allen) of Buford, GA., sister, Rosie Tillman of Blackshear, 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery with Minister John Coconise officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the cemetery from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Enoch Hyers, Eddie Carnes, Caney Carnes, Roy Carnes, Rev. Tommy Davis, Mark Holmes, Braxton Bragg.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
