Russell Anthony Waters, age 55, of Nicholls passed away July 29, 2024 in Wheeler County. He was born April 3, 1969  in Coffee County to the late Carroll Lee Waters and Catherine Hutcheson Waters. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie and Rickey Waters.

Survivors include his brother, Randy Waters (Sybrena) of Nicholls; sister, Sandy Overstreet (Bennie) of Douglas and sister-in-law, Cindy Waters of Nicholls.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Roy Spivey and Pastor Billy Waters officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Jesse Roberson, Raymond Johns, Chris Brannen, Ronnie Downing, Tim Waters and Ronnie Downing, Jr.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
