Ruth Crapps Cole, age 88, of Nicholls passed away March 24, 2024 at Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. She was born and raised in Coffee County. She was preceded in death by her father, Omer Crapps and mother, Ruth Love Taylor; her husband, Lloyd Edwin "Buddy" Cole; great- grandson, Asher Ellis and brother, Billy Edward Crapps.

Mrs. Ruth was retired from the Coffee County Board of Education after 40 years of service as a Substitute Teacher. She was a member of the Nicholls Baptist Church.

Survivors include two children, Kandice Ellis and Kevin Cole of Nicholls; two grandsons, Darren Ellis (Nikki) and Kameron Cole (Jasmine) and three great grandchildren, Ethan, Emma and Jude Ellis.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Nicholls Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Darby, Rev. Britt Mizell and Rev. Carlos White officiating. Interment will follow in Roberts Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Henriott, Joe Leggett, Colby Batten, Jack Bennett, Pop White and Johnny Morrison. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
