Ryan Michael Mims, age 27, of Alma passed away suddenly Friday, August 26, 2022 at his residence. He was born on March 10, 1995 in Ware County but had lived most of his life in Bacon County. Ryan was preceded in death by his father, Michael Scott Mims and uncle, Kevin Streat.

Ryan was a graduate of the Bacon County Class of 2013; employed by Spartan Cargo Trailers and was a member of Southside Church of God.

Survivors include his wife, Misty Johnson Mims and daughter, Mattie Blaine Stauffer of Alma; his mother, Christine Lynne Crews Williams and husband Rodney of Alma;paternal grandfather, Billy Ray Mims and wife Robyn of Alma; paternal grandmother, Cecelia Streat of Nicholls; daughter; maternal grandmother, Kathlene Johnson, maternal great-grandmothers, Eleanor Ottson and Alice Hornbeck of Townsend, GA; brother, Gavin Aldean Newsome of Alma; sister, Kaitlen Lynne Mixon and husband Jamie of Kentucky; and two uncles, Marshall Streat of Nicholls and Donnie Rigdon of Pinehurst, GA.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 1 ^st at 3:00 PM at Southside Church of God with Pastor David Deen and Bishop R. B. Gaskins officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 1:30 PM until service time.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
