Sadie Sweat Steverson, age 78, of Nicholls passed away Thursday, December 5th at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. She was a native of Jeff Davis County but had lived most of her life in Bacon County. Sadie was daughter of the late Marcus Graham and Lorene Sears Graham, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert (Skeeter) Sweat and Clifford Steverson, a son, Bruce Sweat and a granddaughter, Shanna Sweat. She was a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Terry (Snod) Sweat and wife Cheryle of Alma, daughter-in-law, Robyn Sweat of Alma, three brothers, Judon Graham (Shirley) of Baxley, Leroy Graham (Elaine) and Wiley Landon Graham of Halehurst, one sister, Carolyn Altman (Ernest) of Alma, five grandchildren, Robbie (Jen) Sweat, Ryan Sweat, Cricket (Chris) Watley, Casey (Duane) Sweat and Kylie Smith and six great grandchildren, Trent, Trey & Clay Sweat, Gracie, Emalyn & Cash Watley.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 8th at 2:00 PM at Lee's Chapel Church with Bro. Bryant Bishop, Bro. Lowell Lee and eulogy by Jerald Douglas. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be carried to the church at 1:00 PM to lie in state. Visitation will be held Saturday evening at the funeral home between 6 and 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; James (Jabber) Lee, Michael Conner, Mitch Sears, Jody Johnson, Mike Harrell and Terry Wayne Johnson. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
