Samantha Lee Crapps, age 26, of Baxley passed away on June 4, 2021 at Community Hospice in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was born in Holland, Michigan but had lived in Alma most of her life. She was a graduate of the Bacon County High School Class of 2013. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Maria DeJesus Gonzalez.

Survivors include her parents, Saul Gonzalez and Rosario Hernandez Gonzalez of Alma; spouse, Chad Allen Crapps; two children, Chad Allen Crapps, Jr. and Alaina Hope Crapps of Baxley; maternal grandparents, Jose Francisco Hernandez (Esmeralda) of Alma; paternal grandfather, Noe Gonzalez of Weslaco, TX.; brother, Saul Gonzalez, Jr.; sister, Sarah Hutchinson (Steven) of Alma; one nephew, Ian Kash Hutchinson and several cousins.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Crosby Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Mass will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; Saul Gonzalez, Jr., Fabian Hernandez, Jose Francisco Hernandez, Jr., Steven Hutchinson, Joshua Barnes and Austin Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Community Hospice of Vidalia, We Care Family Practice, Sara's Cure, Hazlehurst Court Care & Rehab, Patty Breedlove and the Bacon County Class of 2013.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
