Sara Frances Cliett, age 80, of Douglas, Coffee County passed away November 27, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Born December 28, 1940, in Alma to Franklin Randolph Strickland and Catherine Frances Fitzgerald Strickland.

She was preceded in death by her siblings; Juanita Strickland, Ollie Lee Strickland Miller, Leonard Franklin Strickland, Mary Louise Strickland McDonald, Edna Frances Strickland Worles, Frankie Asteen Strickland Sweat, Lawrence Dean Strickland, Morris Fitzgerald Strickland, and by her husband, Jack Oscar Cliett, Sr. whom she married on June 26, 1956, in Ware County.

She is survived by two children, Diana Lynn Cliett Edge and husband Zachery Richard of Conyers and Jack Oscar Cliett, Jr. and wife Linda of Douglas; five grandchildren, Nicole Edge Baker, Richard Coty Edge, Jacalyn Carley Edge Webb, Franklin Randolph Cliett and Sarah Olivia-Shae Cliett Spivey; seven great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Paytyn and Waylyn Baker, Laegan Olivia Spivey, Greyson Matthew Bix Spivey, Amoura Webb and Tristan Webb and one great-great grandson, Mason Cartledge.

Mrs. Cliett lived and traveled the world, in numerous states of the USA, as well as Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. She fostered many children over the years. She was known as a great cook and for a giving heart, for her love of family and the time she spent with them.

Graveside services will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Meeks Cemetery.
