Sara Lou Moore, age 92, of Decatur, Georgia passed away at the residence of her daughter, Dr. Jan Moore Wednesday, December 25, 2019 after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Bacon County but had made her home in Douglas for many years before moving to Decatur seven years ago.

She was daughter of the late Johnie P. Parsons and Mary Sophronia Douglas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar (Tom) Moore and brother, Johnie Parsons, Jr.

She was a member of the Douglas United Methodist Church, a graduate of the Albany Business College and had worked with Miles Tractor Company and M E Butler Chevrolet Company in Alma as a bookkeeper from many years.

Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Janet Sue Moore of Decatur, GA.; a son Joseph Parsons, Jr. of Gillsville, GA.; a sister Charlene Bennett Deen of Alma and her special care giver, Mary Williams of Decatur, GA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Hartsfield officiating. The family will be receiving friends Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until funeral time. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; Kevin Brooks, Bob Hart, John Graham, Jack Bennett, Doug Ward and Robert Parsons.
