Sarah Marvarene Bohanan Gruis, age 73, of Alma, GA, passed away Friday May 25 ^th at Shans Hospital in Jacksonville, FL after an extended illness. Sarah was born in Homerville, GA to the late Marvin and Esta Pittman Bohanan and was a member of Wesley Chapel Church on 203 in Alma. She is also preceded in death by a grandson Clayton James-Steven Garner.

Survivors include her husband Otis Gruis, a son Gerald James Garner Jr. (Tammy) of Callahan, FL, two daughters Tammy Garner and Lorie Lamm both of Jacksonville, FL, a sister Barbara Nettles (Jack) of Alma, 15 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at Wesley Chapel Church at 2pm with Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Men of the church will serve as active pallbearers and all others in attendance will be considered honorary escort. Internment will follow Wednesday morning at 11am at Jones Cemetery in Callahan, FL. The family will be receiving guest at Crosby Funeral Home Monday from 6-9pm.
