Sarah Carolyn Henriot Pope (Sister), age 83, of Douglas passed away April 25, 2024 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born August 17, 1940 in Chatham County to the late George Edward Henriot and Alene Norton Henriot. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Leslie Franklin Pope, Jr.

Mrs. Pope was a member of Forrest Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her three children, John Edwood Pope (Christina) of Leesburg, George Leslie Pope of Douglas and Beth Ann Pope Cribb (Mark) of Alma; five grandchildren, Emily Williams, Carrie Anna Deen, Levi, Destiny and Ava Pope; one great-grandchild, Lucca Williams; brother, Richard Henriot (Karen) of Nicholls and sister, Pam Lambert of Douglas; also special friends and family members, Yolanda Thomas Anderson and Savannah Thomas whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Pope and Bro. Justin Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Campground Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Monday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Cameron Barton, Ed Pope, Mark Cribb and George Pope. Bethany Hospice of Douglas will serve as honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
