Shane Harper, age 42, of Nicholls died suddenly at his home Monday March 19 ^th , 2018.  He was a native of Coffee County and was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Mr & Mrs J C Harper and maternal grandparents Mr & Mrs Alton Kirkland.  Shane was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church of Douglas.

Survivors include his father Michael W. Harper of Nicholls, his mother Marie Kirkland Holder of Dublin, step father, Randall Holder of Nicholls, a sister Amanda Melissa Blizzard (Brian) of Dublin, an uncle Raymond Harper (Melissa) of Nicholls, two aunts Debra Harper Dodd (John) and Patricia Kirkland Mancil (Tommy) all of Nicholls, a niece Rachel Marie Rowell of Dublin and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. John Carver and Rev. Larry Stone officiating.  Interment will follow in Saginaw Baptist Church Cemetery in Nicholls.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 P M until funeral time 3:00 P M.

Active pallbearers will be Allen Thompson, Scott Kirkland, Jimmy Kirkland, Chris Harper and Johnny Jowers.  All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
