Shelby Jean Davis, age 86, of Alma passed away October 27, 2027 at Hospice Satilla after a short illness. She was a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late Sonny Yawn and Vera Douglas Yawn. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Omer Witmer Davis, grandson Tori Devin Davis, daughter-in-law Taffy Davis and brother Marlyn.

Mrs. Davis was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son Dale Davis; two grandchildren Trey Davis (Shea) and Shawn Davis (Amy); 7 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother Hollis Yawn and sister Janice Smith (Gene).

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Beulah Bapist Church with Rev. Matt Tuttle and Rev. Mike Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends at the church Monday from 1:00 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be; Shawn Davis, Trey Davis, Chad Hersey, Brian Hersey, Tanner Martin and Cole Elmore. Beulah Baptist Church Adult Sunday Sunday_School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
