Sherry Faye "Howard" Lord, age 47, of Baxley passed away Tuesday, November 17th at the Appling Healthcare System Pavilion after an extended illness. She was a native of Gainesville, Florida but had lived in Baxley for many years. Sherry was daughter of the late Billy Earl Howard and Vernadell McCullough and preceded in death by two brothers, William Earl Howard, Jr. and Robert Earl Howard.

Survivors include her husband Richard Lord of Baxley, Faye Taylor the mother that raised her of Whitesboro, Texas, one son, William Eric "Buddy" Hummel of Vancouver, WA., two daughters, Amanda Salters (Mike) and Jennifer Hummel of Vidalia, GA. one sister, Leann Lee (Chris) of Alma and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 20th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Zoar Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Sammy Douglas, II, Jonathan Howard, James Willis, Jerry Lee, Michael Salters and Todd Cain. Honorary pallbearers will be; The Pavilion and Dr. Errol Graham.
