Obituary

Rev. Sheryl Patrick, age 68, of Alma died Saturday Dec. 13th, 2014 at the Lakeland, FL Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was a native of Huntington, West Virginia but had lived in Bacon County the past four years. She was daughter of the late Woodrow Templeton and Lola Templeton. She was a Missionary, loving mother, wife & friend to all. Married to Don Patrick at the age of 19 and for the next 49 years they worked building a life in Christ. Sheryl owned 2 restaurants and spent several years in the real estate business. They spent the better part of four years as missionaries in Israel while managing a mini golf/food court for the Samaritan Foundation. They traveled to Jordan, Bulgaria, Turkey, Cypress, Italy and London and ministered and shared her unfailing love her Savior without shame. Upon returning from Israel they decided to move to Alma to spend time watching their children grow. Sheryl loved Alma and everyone she came in contact with. While here she started a Women's Bible study where they met at Subway on Thursday nights, she stared with 4 ladies and now they have about 15 in attendance. She has ministered to the young and old and was a mother figure to many women in Alma. She touched so many lives and lived a full beautiful life and will surely be missed by any and everyone who ever had the privilege of knowing her

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Donald E. Patrick of Alma, three sons, Tim Patrick & Todd Patrick (Kathy) of Cape Coral, FL. and Greg Patrick of South Point, OH., a daughter, Dawn Mansen (Toi) of Homestead, FL., six grandchildren, Amber Boatright (Roy), Allison Mansen, Kassey, Ashley, Anthony & Alyssa Patrick and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 18th at New Vision Church with Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family body will be carried to the church at 3:00 PM to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Tim, Todd & Greg Patrick, Roy T. Boatright, III, Tim Nobles, Joe Boatright and Shane Wade. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
