Shirley Revel Jipson, age 62, of Alma passed away at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Alma, Georgia on July 23, 1954 to the late Ray Gordy Revels and Linnie Tanner Revels, besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Michael Jipson and a brother, Bobby Revels.

Survivors include two children, Rodney Cothren and Rhonda Cothren of Alma, two sisters, Linda Creech (Buck) of Hazlehurst and Annette Thomas of Nicholls; also three grandchildren, Matthew and Melanie Pate and Cheyenne Cothren and one great-grandchild, Rylie Wasden of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 2nd at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 to 9 PM.
