Shirley Turner, age 78, of Alma passed away December 17, 2023 at Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was born February 12, 1945 to the late Henry Boatright and Rachel Strickland Boatright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Seward Garland Turner; daughter Dea Smith; two brothers, Billy Boatright and McCoy Boatright and three sisters, Glenda Johnson, Gloria Carter and Lovie "Randy" Crews.

Survivors include two daughters, Lana Turner and Lara Turner of Meshon; two grandchildren, Turner Bagley and Lilly Yawn and brother, Charles "Buddy" Boatright (Janice) of Blackshear.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (December 20, 2023) at Crosby Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM.

Graveside services will be held Thursday (December 21,2023) at 2:00 PM at Damascus Church Cemetery with Bishop R. B. Gaskins officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
