Sophie "Pat" Cothern, age 77, of Alma passed away Monday, August 10th at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native of Newburg, New York but had lived in Alma for many years. Pat was daughter of the late Frank Smith and Margaret Rodulski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Cothern, a son, Ritchie Cothern and a grandson, J. J. Cothern.

Survivors include two sons, Randy Cothern of Halzlehurst and Kelly Cothern (Jennifer) of Alma, one brother, Bill Smith of New York, a sister, Elanor Smith of New York, 4 grandchildren, Callie Kalyn, Kiley and Mickie Cothern and 1 great-grandson, Gage Cothern.

A memorial services will be held Thursday, August 13th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Carver officiating. The family will be receiving friends Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
