Stanley Stephen McCrea, age 70, formerly of Alma passed away November 13, 2022 at Haven Hospice House in Orange Park, FL. after an extended illness.  He was born and raised in Bacon County.  As a child, he attended Douglas Chapel Baptist Church.  He graduated from Bacon County High School in 1970.  He moved to Florida in 1989 and continued his career with CSX until retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Ida Pamela "Pam" McCrea of Orange Park, FL.; three sons, Wade McCrea (Jennifer) of Middleburg, FL., Andy McCrea (Morganne Lawler) of Middleburg, FL., and Fred McCrea (Emily) of Orange Park, FL.; two brothers, Charles McCrea of Alma and David McCrea (Krista) of Alma; two sisters, Bobbie Jean (Eugene) Flaborea of Alma and Shirley (Mike) Scrimager of Brunswick; four grandchildren, Hunter McCrea, Haylee McCrea, Emily McCrea and Charlotte McCrea. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles A. McCrea and Wannee June Ivey McCrea and sister, Jo Earl McCrea.

Memorial services will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Bishop R. B. Gaskins officiating.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday from 1PM until service time which is 2PM.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
