Stephanie "Renee" Smith Guthrie, age 35, of Alma passed away on Monday, December 19th at St. Vincent's Riverside in Jacksonville, FL. after a short illness. She was daughter of the late Vic Smith. Renee was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Scarber and Iva Merritt Smith and maternal grandparents, Gene and Willie Mae Lewis.

Survivors include her mother, Margaret Lewis Smith, fiancé, Jeff Evans, two children, Austin and Brianna Smith of Alma, one brother, Victor Smith (Roxie) of Alma and two sisters, Melissa Hall (Bryan Byrd) of Waycross and Pam Hartley of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 22nd at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Home with Rev. David Capps officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Tommy Evans, Brandon Hall, Timmy Carver, Bryan Byrd and Ricky Pinson. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
