Obituary

Stephanie Lee Tenney, age 29, of Alma passed away suddenly at her residence Wednesday, August 14th. She was a native of Ware County but has lived in Bacon County all her life. Stephanie was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Edmund Taylor, maternal grandparents, Rev. Edward Calhoun and Rudene Herrington Calhoun Allen and a step grandfather, James Wilton Allen. She was a member of Alma First Church of the Nazarene where she was Worship Leader and Sunday School Teacher and was the Administrative Assistant at the City of Alma.

Survivors include her mother, Shelia Joy Calhoun Taylor of Alma, father, Steven Taylor and step mother, Julie Davis Taylor of Simpsonville, SC., , her husband of 8 years, Bradley Tenney, one daughter, Zoie Lane Tenney of Alma, brother, Andrew Scott Taylor, of Simpsonville, SC., sister, Amber Joy Wheeler (Jim) of Alma, her paternal grandmother, Margie Taylor of Bremen, Ga. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 18th at the Alma First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Tony Crosby and Rev. Walter Mingledroff officiating. Interment will follow in Douglas Chapel Church Cemetery. The body will be carried to the church at 1:00 PM to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Jim Wheeler, Tommy Lee, Wade Tenney, Mike Overstreet, Travis Lee and Joshua Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be; Members of Alma First Church of the Nazarene, Andrew & Jeremy Taylor and City Employee's.

Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
