Stephen Carlos Nettles Sr., age 63, of Alma died at the Bacon County Hospital on Wednesday August 25th,2021 after a brief illness. He was a native of Dunedin FL but had lived in Alma GA most of his life. He was the son of the late Lee Roy (Red) Nettles and Bernice Marie Durrence Nettles.

He worked at Milliken from 1976 until 2014. He was preceded in death by his sister Francis Latrelle Sapp. Survivors include his siblings Tony Nettles, Christine and Len Crosby and Ricky Nettles of Alma. Three sons Stephen C. Nettles Jr. of Phoenix Arizona, Daniel Nettles and Benjamin Nettles of Alma.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
