Mr. Steve Lee, age 79, of Nicholls passed away September 4, 2024 at UF Health in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born February 12, 1945 in Bacon County to John Q. Lee and Adel Kirkland Lee. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, L. H. "Buddy" Lee, Daniel Lee, David "Piker" Lee and Ronnie Lee and sisters, Eunity Sweat and Madeline Sweat.

Mr. Lee was a lifelong member of Lees Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carolyn Douglas Lee; two children, Steven Lee (Brittany) and Sinda Jeffery (Willie); five grandchildren, Hayden & Hance Lee, Amelia & Sebastian Jeffery and Marlee Holland; two brothers, Russell Lee (Joyce) and Quitman Lee (Betty), sister, Bobbie Lee Johnson, a niece who was like a sister, Kay Lee and  several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 8, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Lees Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Delk, Pastor John Sasser officiating. Leslie Giraldo will give a personal eulogy. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be Corey Johnson, Joey Yawn, Chad Lee, Shawn Lee, Tony Lee and Kenny Ray. Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
