Susan Carver Cato, age 48, of Alma passed away Monday, August 3rd at St Vincents Community Hospice in Jacksonville after a short illness. She was daughter of the late Leroy Carver and Virginia McHenry Carver and preceded in death by a son, Shane Carver. Susan was a member of Liberty Church of God.

Survivors include her son, Eric Carver and wife Erin of Alma, four children in heart, Aaron and Jacob Carver Caleb Nails and Hannah Evans of Alma and 1 grandchild, Cambry Carver, four brothers, Thomas James Carver (Renee), Rev. Mark David Carver (Jennifer) and Charles Paul "Bo" Carver all of Alma and Timothy John Carver (Teresa) of Westgreen, Ga. and three sisters, Connie Nipper and Ann Marie Carver of Alma and Amy Lee Thurman (Kevin) of Broxton, Ga.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 6th at 11:00 AM at Liberty Church of God with Rev. Leon Guest, Rev. Richard Lewis officiating and a eulogy given by Tom Carver. The body will be carried to the church at 10:00 AM to lie in state. Interment will follow in Mims Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Lance Carter, Jeffery Carver, Dalton Carver, Randy and Stevie Altman, Chris Anderson and Wayne Kirkland. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
