Susie Diane Bennett Swain, age 76, passed away December 29, 2025, at the Pavilion at Appling Healthcare, after an extended illness. She was born in Ware County on December 22, 1949, to the late Loren Ezra Bennett and Bessie Strickland Bennett. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Tracy Swain, Sr; daughter, Cathy Colleen Meeks; son, Estelle Leo Swain; brothers, Ray, Loren, and Wardell Bennett and sister, Kathleen Overstreet.

She is survived by her sons, Tracy Swain, Jr and George Stacey Swain; daughters, Gloria Diane Bass and Ginger Renese Perry (Ryan) of Surrency; grandchildren, Michael Lawson Dixon, Mason Ryan Perry, Tiffany King, Meagan Hersey, Brandon Meeks and Bryan Swain. Seven grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday January 2, 2026, at 11 AM at Southside Church of God with Rev. David Deen officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10 AM until service time.

Active pallbearers include Lawson Dixon, Mason Perry, Brandon Meeks, Bryan Swain, Dustin King, Billy Overstreet, and Gary Overstreet. Honorary pallbearers include Mary Wallace and Lorraine Drake.
