Sylvia S. Taylor, age 87, a long time resident of Alma, went to be with the Lord, on March 26 ^th , 2019 after an extended illness.

She was born in Jefferson, GA. on October 27 ^th , 1931 to the late Elbert Gordon Shubert, Sr. and Alice RubyShubert. Sylvia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who devoted much of her time and energy caring for her family. She loved gardening, cooking and baking sweets, many crafts but her favorite pastime was sewing creations like quilts and clothing for her loved ones.

She was a lifetime member of the Tenth Street Church of God where she volunteered in the children's activities.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Wilford "Bud" Taylor, and son, Larry Trenton Taylor.

Sylvia is survived by three children, Nancy J. Bittner (Steve), St. Simons Island, GA., Tony W. Taylor (Robin), Alma, GA. and Kay T. Sharer (Mark), Jesup, GA. and truly the loves of her life five grandchildren, Tom, Molly, Laura, Aly and Nicole. She also has four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 29 ^th , 2019 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home.  Memorial graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Pine Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Travis Peavy officiating.
