Mrs. Tammi Cothern King, age 53, of Alma passed away suddenly Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the Bacon County Hospital. She was born in Bacon County on May 26, 1967. Tammi worked for the Bacon County Hospital for many years and was presently working with Clarity Clinical Laboratory housed at Dr. Harrison Carter's Office. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Becky Boatright and step dad, Junius "Dale" Hutto.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Bubba King, mother, Patsy "Pat" Holton Hutto, of Alma, father, Don Melton and wife Winda of Rincon, two children, Justin King and significant other Zaran Metts and Ludie Pless and husband Derek, two grandchildren, Cloe and Kade Pless all of Alma, one brother, Bobby Boatright and wife Betty of Nicholls and a special aunt, Mary Buckner and husband Jim of Savannah.
Visitation will be held Thursday at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday in the Crosby Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pet Hayes and Rev. Travis Peavy officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
Honorary pallbearers will be; Kim Traynham, Mekeisha Pridgen Lott, Walking Buddies, Linda Bagley, Margie Brigmond, Lynette Yearty, Denise Simmons, Joyce Waters, Golden Girls, Michelle Williams, Kristy Cartledge, Kellie Taylor, Alicia Mullis, Briana Holton, Employee's of Dr. Carter's Office, Meme's Softball girls and all others in attendance.
