Tayla Laydon Smith, age 5 months, died suddenly at her home Friday July 4th, 2014
in Eastman, GA. She was a native of Dublin, GA and had been living in Eastman since her birth. Laydon was preceded in death by maternal great-grandfather, Sidney Whitley, maternal great-grand mother, Lillie Faye Moore and paternal great-grand father, Lewis G. Smith.

Survivors include her parents, Timothy Kevin (Tim) Smith and Ariel Whitley Smith of Eastman, two brothers, Landon and Lander Smith of Eastman, paternal grandparents, Ricky Smith of Uvalda, GA, Shelby Smith of Alma, maternal grandparents, Sid and Carla Whitley of Alma, paternal great-grand parents, Lamar and Rita Sanders of Eastman, paternal great grandparents, Richard and Ruth Kinard of Chapin, SC., maternal great-grand father, Carl Moore of Alma, maternal great-grandmother, Wanda Whitley of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 'clock at Solid Rock Church of God in Eastman with Rev. Matthew Floyd, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church Monday at 1:00 P M to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at Crosby Funeral Home Sunday evening between 6 and9 P M.

Active pallbearers will be, Jason Park, William Rose, Timothy Skeens and Timothy Skeens, Jr.
