Thad A. Gray, age 78, of Alma passed away at his residence on Monday, July 1, 2019 after an extended illness. Son of Daniel Gray and Dora Deen Gray born on April 25, 1941 in Appling County.  His wife Louvonia Barber Gray, brothers, Hoyt, Harold and Azzander Gray, sisters Nellie Grace Britt, Theron Miles and Carrie Juanita Gray preceded him in death. Mr. Thad served in the US Army and was a member of the Alma Church of God.

Survivors include his sons Thad W. Gray (Suzanne) of Alabama and Berry Gray (Alicia) of Alma, brother, Abron Gray of Alma and Preston Gray (Aline) of Jesup, 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 3 ^rd at 11:00 AM at the Alma Church of God with Pastor Travis Peavy and Pastor Hulett Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Jerry Taylor, Ed Watford, Gary Taylor, Danny Spell, Mark McCarty and Ron Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be; Julian & Angie Rigby, Carla Taylor, Larry Williams, Alma Church of God Senior Adult Sunday School Class, Larry Blanton, Barry McCarty, Dwight & Sandra Sellers.
