Obituary
Thomas Eddie Waters, age 67, of Alma passed away Tuesday, July 31st at his residence after a short illness. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Thomas Edward Waters and Verna Carter Waters. Eddie was retired from the Bacon County School System after 32 years of teaching Special Ed. He served in the US Air Force and was a member of United Methodist Faith.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Diane Wall Waters of Alma, son, Jason Thomas Waters of Patterson, daughter, Terri Lynne Waters Taylor and husband Leon W. of Alma and two grandchildren, Caroline Nicole Taylor and Emma Catherine Taylor of Alma.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 3rd from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home at 4:00 PM with Rev. Glen Rainey, Rev. Edmund Thrift and eulogy given by James Henry Carter. Interment will follow in Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery.The family will be receiving friends at funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Robert Bennett, Steven Greenway, Terrell King, Reed Brand, Austin Royals and Leon Taylor. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
