Timothy Joe Merritt, age 33, of Waycross passed away suddenly at his residence on Friday, April 16, 2021, Born in Waycross on December 23, 1987 to Willie Edwin Merritt, Jr. and Wannell Bennett Merritt. He was preceded in death by a son Daniel Joe Merritt.  He was a member of Argil Church of God.

Survivors include his parents Willie Edwin Merritt, Jr. of Ware County and WannellBennett Merritt of Eatonton; his wife, Paige Wade of Bacon County, two children, Timothy Joe Merritt, Jr. of Alma and Lilly Ansley Merritt of Valdosta; one brother, Willie Edwin Merritt, III of Eatonton, GA.; one sister, Kaylee Renee Merritt of Homerville.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. David Inman officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 PM until funeral time. Interment will follow in Mt. Greene Church Cemetery in Millwood.

Active pallbearers will be; Bill O'Berry, David Booth, Chris Martin, Cecil Merritt, Emanuel Deleon and Shaun Vaughn. Honorary pallbearers will be; Clayton Lloyd, Jamie Odum and Eric Booth.
