Timothy Roy Sweatt, age 48, of Alma passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Alma on November 29, 1970 to the late Henry Roy Sweatt.

Timothy served in the U.S. Marines during Desert Storm and was a member of Wesley Chapel Church.

Survivors include his mother, Wilma Griffin Sweatt, his girlfriend, Tiffany Moore, three children, Clay Sweatt, Griffin Sweatt and Brooke Sweatt (fiancé Eric Lamar), surrogate father, Billy Ray Mims all of Alma, three sisters, Jennifer Sweatt of Alma, Sylvia Herrington (Terry) of Douglas, GA. & Dawn Sweatt of Jacksonville, FL., and four grandchildren, Jasmine, Nathaniel, Brantley and Kyler Lamar of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17 ^th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Hatten and Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Red Oak Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; James Moore, Jody Conner, Eric Lamar, John Turner, Gene Batten and Michael Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be; Bruce Higgs, Wes Bunyard and Coffee Correctional Employees.
