Tommy L. Taylor, age 67, of Alma passed away suddenly January 14, 2024 at the Bacon County Hospital. Tommy was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Lether L. Taylor and Illa Jean Nipper Taylor. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister -in-law, Jerri Lynn Taylor.

Mr. Tommy started coaching in 1975 for the Recreation Department where he coached the Pee Wee and Midget Level for many years, he then coached the Bacon County Middle School Football before retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Bacon County Touchdown Club and the Blueberry Men's Golf Association.

He was owner and operator of K & L BBQ for many years. He also loved playing golf on his days off with friends and loved the Georgia Bulldogs.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Pfau Taylor; three children, Lyndsey Hutto (Cliff) of Marietta, GA, Magan Hendry (Andrew) of Madison, FL. and Kevin Taylor (Hilliary) of Athens, GA. and their mother, Glenda Taylor of Alma; five grandchildren, Bryce Taylor, Harrison & Sutton Hendry, Rowan & Sadie Hutto; three stepchildren, Michael Cleland of Columbia, MD, Chad Cleland and Makiddian Youmans of Baxley, GA; six step-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy D. Taylor and sister, Linda Jean Bagley (Jimmy) of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11:00 from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Taylor and Pastor Wayne Woods officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday, (January 17, 2024) from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be Jeff Taylor, Derrick Rowland, Bryan Bagley, Chase Johnson, Lawton Taylor, Dustin Rowland, Devin Rowland and Andrew Wildes. Honorary pallbearers will be K & L past and present Employees, Bentley Carter, Cornelia Taylor, Ray Hancock, Dorsey Wade, T Boy Carter, Jerden Veal, Donald Mixon, Rex Hill, Windell Batten, Terry Anderson, Daryl Anderson, Wayne Anderson, Ed Watford, Bo Lockheart and Dolphus Welch.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
