Tracy Swain Sr., age 75, of Alma, passed away Friday July 26th, at St. Joseph's Candler Medical Center, after a short illness. Tracy was a native of Fernandina Beach, Fl but had lived in Alma most of his life. He was the son of the late Estell Swain and Lucille Conwell Cothern. A daughter Cathy Colleen Meeks, a son Estelle Leo Swain, and brothers Virgil, Robert, and Leonard Swain also preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years Susie Diane Bennett Swain, sons Tracy Swain Jr and George Stacey Swain of Alma, daughters Gloria Diane Bass of Alma and Ginger Renese Perry (Ryan) of Baxley, brothers J.W. Swain (Teresa) of Alma, Rex Allen Swain of Alma, and Randy Cothern of Blackshear, sisters Margaret Feilding of Alma and Frances D. Altman of Waycross, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 29th at 2 PM, at Southside Church of God with Rev. David Deen and Rev. R.B. Gaskins officiating. Active pallbearers include Lawson Dixon, Mason Perry, Brandon Meeks, Jason Fielding, Bryan Swain, Dustin King, Gary Overstreet, Tracy Swain Jr., and George Swain. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escort. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 1 o'clock until service time. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
