Troy Lee, age 76, of Alma passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born in Alma on January 14, 1941 to the late Taft Lee and Edna Spell Lee; besides his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Sermons, three brothers, Pete Lee, Lamar "Bo" Lee, and Charles Lee and a sister, JoAnn Anderson. Troy was part owner and operator of Taft Lee & Sons for many years and a member of New Vision Church.

Mr. Troy is survived by his wife of 58 years, Syble Johnson Lee of Alma, two sons, Mark Lee of Manning, SC. and Greg Lee and wife Lynn of Pell City, AL., a brother, Billy Lee, two sisters, Margie Jones and husband Perry of Hoboken, GA. and Patricia Tanner of Alma, six grandchildren, Ryan and Ashley Sermons, Stacie Davis, T. G. Lee, Andrew Lee and Jack Lee; also eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday evening, July 25 ^th at 7:00 PM at New Vision Church with Rev. Johnny Johnson officiating. The family will be receiving friends at New Vision Tuesday afternoon from 5:00 PM until funeral time. The family will have a private burial.

Active pallbearers will be; Jonathan Johnson, Derrick Anderson, Mike Lee, Tommy Lee, John Nichols and Raymond Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be; Duck & Cornelia Taylor, Pete & Verlene Johnson, Danny & Kim Carter, Danny & Diane Spell, Marty & Melanie Medders, Mike & Debbie Spivey, Dr. Harrison Carter, William & Linda Hall, Johnny & Virue Stewart, Quillion & Sandra Taylor, Terrell & Sue Stone, Marvin Deen and Betty Sue Johnson.
